Tippecanoe Valley Defeats Logansport

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball picked up a non-conference win over Logansport Tuesday, winning 53-28. The Lady Vikings pick up their first win of the season, and improve their record to 1-4.

Leading the scoring charge for Valley was Kaydence Mellott, who finished the game with 20 points. Corina Stiles had eleven points, and Sadie Snapp finished with eight. The Lady Vikings also won the JV game 61-21, and were led by DeLaney Siders, who had 15 points.

Next up for Tippecanoe Valley is a matchup with Maconaquah Tuesday.



Wawasee Picks Up Win Over Lakeland

SYRACUSE – Wawasee girls basketball picked up its second straight non-conference win Tuesday night, defeating Lakeland 59-44. The win moves the Warriors record to 4-1 on the young season.

Wawasee had three players finish the game with double digits in the scoring department, led by Lindsay Doss, who had 15. Jada Carter had 13 points, and also led the team with five assists and four steals. Becca Smith led the team with 10 rebounds. Wawasee’s JV squad won its game as well, 59-10. Mackenzie Hackleman finished with 13 points and seven steals.

Next up for the Warriors is their NLC opener against Concord Friday.



Manchester Falls To Adams Central

MONROE – Manchester girls basketball lost its road game to Adams-Central Tuesday night, 53-44. The Lady Squires are still searching for their first win of the season, as they currently sit at 0-6.

It was a huge game for Ainsley West, who finished with 24 points to go along with four blocks. Gracie Lauer added seven points and five steals. The Manchester JV squad lost a close one as well, falling 27-25. Maddy Miller had eight points.

Next up for the Lady Squires is a game against Mississinewa Friday.



Whitko Falls To Peru

PERU, Ind. – Whitko girls basketball dropped its fourth straight game Tuesday night, falling 57-47 to Peru. The Lady ‘Cats are now 1-4 this season.

Whitko was led by Kloe Krieg, who finished the game with 19 points on 64% shooting. Adryianna Phillips had nine points in the game.

Next up for the Lady ‘Cats is a road game against Southern Wells Saturday.
