Sarah “Wynell” Thompson, 86, of Warsaw, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

Born on Feb. 21, 1935, in Cullman, Ala., Wynell was the daughter of Dewey and Ottie Walker Kelsoe. She was united in marriage to Floyd Eugene Thompson on Sept. 26, 1951, who preceded her in passing Sept. 26, 2014.

She grew up and graduated from high school in Alabama prior to moving to Indiana. She was formerly employed with K-Mart, retiring in 2000 with over 15 years of service. Wynell was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed being a homemaker for her children and grandchildren.

Wynell is survived by three children: Rick and (Shelia) Thompson, Warsaw; Vickie and (Danny) Adkins, Alabama; Terry and (Deb) Thompson, Chapman Lake; 10 grandchildren: Mary, Chris, Matt, Sarah, Joe, John, Jill, Jamie, Jennifer, Andrea; and 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in passing by her husband, Floyd Thompson. 

All services are private at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor Rod Valentine will officiate the services. A private interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
