Winona Literary Club Met

WINONA LAKE – The Winona Literary Club met May 12 at Robin Hood Community Center for their annual May luncheon with 23 members and three guests present.

The featured entertainment was piano and vocal music from the World War II period presented by Norma Roose and her daughter-in-law, Melinda. There were 15 songs played and sung starting with Rosy the Riveter and the anthems of our military branches. There was a closing prayer for our servicemen, and everyone stood and sang “God Bless America.”

The luncheon was hosted by Marcia South and Pat Redpath and provided by Debbie Parker of Garden Catering.

The next meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at Robin Hood Community Center at Grace Village.



Bridge At SPEC In North Webster Met

NORTH WEBSTER – Bridge at Senior Primelife Enrichment Center played Tuesday. Mike Wyrick came in first and Kay Sutton came in second.

There was no bridge on Thursday.



Thursday Bridge Club Played

The Thursday Bridge Club met at Maria’s Restaurant with Sharon Holtz as hostess.

Winners were Holtz, Nanette Newland, Bob Mayer and Virginia Horn.
