LARWILL – Whitko Community School Corporation announced its students of the month for May. They are:

Ava Precour – Whitko Jr./Sr. School - senior high nominee

Precour is one of the most trustworthy, dedicated and dependable students at Whitko, according to a news release from Whitko. Her teachers can trust her to always do what is right. She is dedicated to her school work, and makes sure to complete assignments promptly even when she is absent. Precour possesses a love of learning, and cheerfully accepts challenges as opportunities for growth. Precour was nominated by teachers Daniel Malicki and Kyle Holz.

Magdalynn Clark – Whitko Jr./Sr. School – junior high nominee

Clark has a great work ethic and an awesome student; she is willing to work with and help others; has great sense of humor which she uses to her advantage as she answers questions and produces products for the classroom. She goes above and beyond with all assignments, stated the release.

Clark was nominated by teachers Mike Handback and John Fullenkamp.

Amy Brown – Whitko Career Academy

Brown is a true leader in the classroom and as a young member of the FFA program. She actively participates, works well with others and goes above and beyond to contribute to learning in the classroom and supporting educational endeavors, stated the release.

Brown was nominated by teacher Kelley Sheiss.

Addison Elder – South Whitley Elementary School

Sweet, kind and hardworking are the words to describe Elder. Elder has improved in math and reading because she is always doing her personal best. She has received many Bulldog Bones from teachers for following directions. She is not only a hard worker, but kind and thoughtful to her friends. Elder is very polite and always says please and thank you without reminders. Whitko so proud of Addison for doing her Bulldog Best, stated the release. Elder was nominated by teacher Krista Busz.

Harmony Pherigo – Pierceton Elementary School

Pherigo is always enthusiastic about what we are doing in class. She puts forth her best effort in everything she does. Whitko can always count on Pherigo to make good choices and have a positive attitude, stated the release. Pherigo was nominated by art teacher Stephanie Campbell.
