Wagon Wheel To Hold 4th Annual Day Of Giving Friday

By Staff Report-

Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts is excited to welcome home the actors, musicians and theatre technicians to the Wagon Wheel stage and the Warsaw community for the 65th summer season.

The pandemic has left lingering financial scars for the Wagon Wheel but the theater is pushing forward to create an amazing season of shows, according to a news release from the Wagon Wheel. Donations and community support are a critical need to safely reopen and welcome everyone back.

“We want the community to return to the Wagon Wheel this summer and experience the quality and professionalism they love and expect from the Wagon Wheel,” said Jay Michaels, executive director.

Hiring and housing a professional company of more than 50 individuals from across the nation is a vital piece to creating the quality productions, the release states. Donation made to the Wagon Wheel towards Day of Giving on Friday will directly sponsor an actor or company member for the summer season by providing them with employment and housing for the summer season.

“We are excited to celebrate the return of theater and music to the Wagon Wheel. We hope the community will join us in welcoming the summer company home to Warsaw and the Wagon Wheel by donating,” Michaels said.

The first $7,500 donated is being matched $1 to $1 by Toyota of Warsaw and an anonymous donor. More information on Day of Giving and how to give can be found online at www.wagonwheelcenter.org/dayofgiving/.

Throughout the day, Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts will be active on social media. They encourage all to stay connected through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
