Just The Facts, Ma’am

These were the iconic words of a Sgt. Friday on a TV show back in the day called “Dragnet.” I doubt if many of the readers ever even heard of this program, but it did exist. My point is that as insistent that Sgt. Friday was about getting “just the facts” of a case so he could clearly pursue the truth, seems very far from the standards of today’s journalists. The vast majority of the media outlets have abandoned factual reporting. They seem to be very lazy and uninterested in the finding of facts, and instead replace the truth with hearsay, innuendos and sensationalism. Much of their reporting maleficence seems to be dictated to them by the Democrat leadership, completely biased and devoid of truth.
Let’s examine some of today’s issues. Take face masks for instance. The fact is that Denmark studied the efficency of face masks in May 2020 and found that only the N95 mask provided wearers protection against the COVID-19 virus. The typical mask was found to have no beneficial protection from respiratory viruses and is basically a psychological bearer to a virus that selects its victims by age and health condition. In fact, wearing a mask has detrimental effects. It causes respiration rates to rise and an increase in the CO2 levels of an individual’s air intake. To mandate that 2-year-old children wear masks, as is the case in Michigan ... is ludicrous.
How about a look at vaccinations. The Democrats were dubious of taking the “Trump” vaccine, but quickly insisted people take them after Biden was elected. The mainstream news not only chastises its listeners if they have second thoughts about taking the vaccination, but they threaten their ability to even function in today’s society if you forgo the shot, requiring a vaccination ID to participate in society. The fact is that if you are a healthy person under 50 years old, you have a 99.7% chance of survivability should you catch the virus. Children without underlying health issues are virtually impervious to the virus, and if they contract it, their symptoms are barely noticeable and they are not vectors of COVID-19. Why should you get a shot if you don’t need it? Do people take chemotherapy to prevent cancer?
The Biden regime suggests we spend over $6 trillion to help “build back.” Let’s print some more phony money and add to a $30 trillion debt. Why not? The capitalist economy has pulled millions of people from poverty making America the envy of the world, but it can be an unforgiving beast. If you interfere with the free market systems and don’t play by its rules, it will not punish you, just look at its most recent victim ... Venezuela. An oil rich nation just 15 years ago promising its people a free cradle to grave lifestyle woke up one morning to find their money was worthless. Everything they took for granted was out of their financial reach. The collapse of an economy is ugly, quick and quite ruthless. I don’t know if we can prevent ours, but I know we will suffer.
So the next time someone tries to sell you free college education, free healthcare while you keep your own doctor, law and order without police, ask them for the details ... ask them for the facts!
