Nisly said the Indiana Department of Workforce Development's new online tool located at in.gov/dwd connects individuals searching for work directly to employers in their desired location. Companies that are hiring can also use the website to connect with candidates.
"This tool is beneficial to those looking to take the next step in their careers and follow their passions," Nisly said. "Employers can also connect with applicants based on their qualifications, and job seekers can easily seek out positions that match their skillset and desired location."
According to Snow, the platform is powered by artificial intelligence and can understand a job seeker's skills and capabilities to match them to relevant jobs. To get started, Hoosiers create a profile by answering basic questions about themselves, which takes about five minutes. Job recommendations will appear based on qualifications and capabilities. Applications can be submitted through the website or through company career sites.
"This handy website helps Hoosiers learn more about career opportunities they're interested in and qualified for," Snow said. "By factoring in your interests, skills and experience, the job search results are tailored to the specific talents of the user."
