Delp Is An Entrepreneur And A Stay-At-Home Mom

If you ask Amy Delp what her life’s theme is, she’ll tell you that she loves to “hand out the keys that have unlocked me.”
In a telephone interview March 15, the wife, mother and entrepreneur said her husband traveled for work while their children were growing up so they both decided that one of them staying at home would be good to provide stability and structure.
She had a teaching degree and was always wanting to “create and nurture the thing inside of me that just wanted to grow and multiply and do something to activate (my) purpose.”
What she found was a home-based business.
“I have worked in the social selling sector where I worked with a company called Rodan Field for six years and grew a rather large team in Warsaw,” she said.
Rodan Field is an American manufacturer and multi-level marketing company specializing in skincare products.
“Really, the reason I’m passionate about that would be because I’m passionate about skincare because I could be home with the children and I’m still activated in the way that I designed, and that’s to build up and champion women, and I think skincare is one of those areas where we as women are fairly insecure and have (many) problems,” she said.
Through her business, she helped women get over those insecurities. She transferred that business to her oldest daughter as she launched into adulthood.
Amy and her husband, Rob, then partnered with another skincare company after Rob stepped away from corporate America a couple of years ago. “We’ve both actually been involved in a start-up business. This is one we found. A clean-living company. It’s more than skincare,” she said. It’s home, health and self and part of the no-toxin movement, but it also allows them to work from home, which has been beneficial during the pandemic.
For Amy, she said the business is all about relationships and building relationships with people.
“If people you know know that you love them and you want what’s in their best interest, and you live to serve, they’re going to trust whatever you have to offer is something good. I think that’s true in all business,” she said.
The business end is what pays the bills, but that allows you to do what your true passions are and to be activated and do your true purpose, she said. “I just love to see people come alive.”
She is also passionate about serving the community with a ministry called Revelation Wellness that has “grown and grown.” They use fitness as a tool to preach the gospel and “set people free from physical and spiritual poverty.” The local Facebook page for that is called Revelation Wellness – Warsaw/Winona Lake.
In honor of Women’s History Month, Amy is involved in launching a global movement for women to “unlock, equip and activate women” into their purpose. The movement is called “The Her Effect,” and more information on that can be found at thehereffect.com.
“It will be a platform with all women invited to come in and find their true purpose and be activated,” Amy said.
There will be local community groups, fun, conferences and more for women to take part in.
“This is really breaking news because we haven’t released it yet,” but information on social media began popping up beginning this week, she said. “This is a global movement. We’re just in the beginning and just about to launch it.”
Amy grew up in Warsaw, attending Atwood Elementary School and Edgewood Middle School. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School and Grace College.
She and her husband of 25 years, Rob, have three children: Hannah, Luke and Faith. Hannah recently was married.
“I think men and women are equally amazing, but because I’m a woman I feel called to speak about women, and just my journey of discovering and realizing what it means to be a woman and to be activated as a woman, it makes me want to see that happen in other women because intrinsically women were created and designed by God to be lifegivers and to cultivate life,” she said.
They do that in many ways, and not just by being mothers. If you give a woman a seed, she’ll cultivate a garden and put a meal on your table. Women can use words that are life-giving, she said. They’re freedom fighters.
“I think my most proud accomplishment is being a mother to my three children. And they are a joy, a gift, and I was able, because of my husband’s job, to stay home with them, raise them up. That was my favorite job. So all these other jobs don’t compare to just the fulfillment and joy of being their mom,” she said.
