Dick was born on July 13, 1945, in Goshen, to Neil and Augusta Holderman VanDiepenbos. He retired from NIPSCO after 34 years of service.
On May 27, 1966, he married the love of his life, Kathy Ritter. They raised two daughters: Lori (Tom) Fultz and Kristi Carter; and one son: Mike (Lisa) VanDiepenbos.
Dick's passion was baseball, fishing and any sports. He was much admired by friends and family and will be dearly missed.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters: Ruth Ann Grove and Nancy Summers.
He is survived by his brother, Tom (Edna) VanDiepenbos; his wife and three children; grandchildren: Travis (Ashley) Green, Robert Fultz, Ashley Chaney, Jada Carter, Alex Hogenboom and Clayton VanDiepenbos; and several great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews also survive him.
Due to COVID-19, there will be private family services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
