Dancing

I used to dance with my lovely wife, but no much any more. She would cut a run in a minute, but I’ve lost my desire to make some moves. I’m so engrossed in what is going on in my government, it bothers me day and night, watching them dance around the issues. Is it just me that visualizes the destruction of what we know to be America?
The government has now pushed through a $1.9 trillion package despite the fact we still had $1 trillion control of the House and Senate, and despite the fact that no Republicans voted for this abomination of legislative maleficence, it will still be law. It was the Democrats chance to bailout their mismanaged state and city governments, an opportunity to do the Foxtrot with massive funding of the NEA.
So we waltz with a broken dollar, a dizzying twist of inflation never coming to grips with what we really need ... freedom. Our present government has just started redesigning our rights. Throw out the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and everything you thought this country stood for.
I don’t see the present president working endless hours trying to help Americans. I don’t see him at all! I would think that a president that canceled 11,000 jobs with a stroke of a pen might want to explain his logic that led him to such a destructive action. It is my guess he is doing the two-step with the people that got him elected.
Have we sacrificed the integrity and principle of this great country just for the power of controlling the government. Have the Democrats thrown all the rules out the door, just to win. Well, they won, and put some geriatric empty suit into the seat of what was the most powerful position in the world. We now have a leader who can’t decide what he wants for breakfast, let alone make thoughtful decisions with our economy, and the education of our children, let alone deal with our adversaries.
Let’s face it, we have an inept government, unable to make decisions to help us. Weather it be the tango or the waltz, the foxtrot or the twist, we have 535 elected, well-paid politicians playing the music that we have to dance to ... I don’t think my wife even knows this step.
