Born on April 14, 1952, in Bremen, Darlene was the daughter of Arnold and Sadie Hattery Rhodes. She was united in marriage to Rex Menzie on Dec. 11, 1972, in Pierceton, who preceded her in passing on May 24, 2007. She retired from Flexsteel of New Paris.
Darlene is survived by son, Shane (Jody) Menzie, of Pierceton; daughter, Trina (Donavan) Davis, of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren; six siblings: Randy (Talana) Rhodes, of Syracuse; Carl (Elaine) Rhodes, Jerry (Lisa) Rhodes, Sharon Miller, Freida (Neal) Hinton, all of Nappanee; and Marlene Rhodes, of South Bend.
She was preceded in passing by husband, Rex Menzie; brother, Ronnie; and sister, Brenda.
A visitation with family and friends is planned from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 19 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service in celebration of her life will follow at noon in the funeral chapel. Pastor John B. Lowe III will be officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Masks are optional, and social distancing is encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
