City of Nappanee, Indiana

South Park Improvements

    Notice is hereby given that the City of Nappanee, Indiana, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, will receive sealed bids for the City of Nappanee South Park Improvements at the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, City Hall, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana 46550.

    Sealed bids are invited and may be forwarded by registered mail or delivered in person, addressed to the City of Nappanee, in care of the Clerk-Treasurer, 300 W. Lincoln St, Nappanee, Indiana, 46550, by no later than 3:30 pm (local time) on Monday, July 12th, 2021. Bids will be opened at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety on Monday July 12th, 2021, at 3:30 pm (local time) at City Hall, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana 46550.  Proposals received by the Clerk-Treasurer after 3:30 pm (local time) shall be returned unopened.  The bidder shall be responsible to make sure that the bids are mailed or otherwise delivered to the Clerk-Treasurer before said date and time, or delivered in person to the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting prior to 3:30 pm.

    South Park Improvements consists of site work for construction of a playground, small parking improvements, an asphalt basketball court, asphalt trail, concrete sidewalks, pavilion, and additional work as described in the Plans and Specifications.  The project is located at South Park at 201 Reed Street in Nappanee, IN.  Plans and Specifications are available in digital format by contacting Michael Reese at [email protected].

    A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM (local time) on Wednesday June 23rd, 2021 at City Hall, 300 W. Lincoln St, Nappanee, IN 46550).  All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend.

    Bids are to be submitted on the bid form and on Indiana Form No. 96 and shall be accompanied by the required non-collusion affidavit financial statement.  Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond, in a sum of not less than five (5%) of the total bid amount.  

    Bids shall be in sealed envelopes, marked with the name and place of business of the bidder.  All bids shall be clearly marked “Sealed Bids – South Park Improvements, DO NOT OPEN”.

    The South Park Improvements are funded in part through a Land and Water Conservation Grant through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

    No bid shall be withdrawn after scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least sixty (60) days.  The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept all or any part of any bid received, and to waive any and all informalities in bidding, and to accept the lowest and/or best bid.
