Man Arrested After Allegedly Shooting Gun In Home

Ron L. Raisor, 54, of 117 EMS W30A1 Lane, North Webster, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 8:50 p.m. May 7 and charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony; criminal recklessness while armed with a deadly weapon, a Level 6 felony; and pointing a firearm, a Level 6 felony.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Wednesday in Kosciusko Superior Court I, at around 6:44 p.m. May 7, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home in reference to a domestic dispute with shots fire.
Upon arrival, police spoke with a neighbor and the victim. The neighbor told police the victim came to her house to seek safety and told her Raisor had fired a gun inside the house and threatened to shoot her, too.
According to the affidavit, when police spoke with the woman, she said she and the man had gotten into an argument and she was preparing to leave for the evening. As the woman was gathering her things, she told police she heard a gunshot in the bedroom.
The victim told police she found Raisor in the bedroom, holding a gun, and according to the affidavit, Raisor pointed the gun at her and threatened to shoot and kill her.
When officers responded to the victim’s home, according to court papers, they found two other men and Raisor. The two men told police they arrived at the house after the woman called them and said Raisor fired a gun and was threatening to shoot her, so they came over to make sure Raisor wouldn’t harm himself.
The two men took the gun and secured it, and then handed it over to police upon their arrival, according to the affidavit.
When police spoke with Raisor, according to court papers, he admitted he fired a shot but denied trying to shoot the woman and said rather he had thoughts of shooting himself.
According to the affidavit, police located a bullet hole in a door that traveled into the wall behind the door, a spent shell casing and more ammunition.
En route to the county jail, Raisor allegedly told police he “sometimes has thoughts of shooting (the woman) and then himself,” according to the affidavit.
Raisor’s bond was set at $5,250.
