Sylvia J. Collins Slone Daugherty will celebrate her 75th birthday on Aug. 8.

She was born Aug. 8, 1946, in Emma, Ky., to Glover and Cardella Jarrell Collins.

On June 14, 1963, she married Clyde Stephen Slone. He died Dec. 21, 1981. They had four children: Dorothy, Bill, David and Daniel, and several grandchildren.

On March 27, 1997, she married Clint Daugherty and they recently celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary.
