Eileen Haines, 93, Berne, and formerly of Markle, died Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Swiss Village Retirement Community in Berne.

She was born Feb. 10, 1928, in Woodville, Ohio, to Francis and Virginia Ladd Pier.

She married Robert Highlen on Feb. 26, 1948, in Bluffton; he died Feb. 11, 1977. She married Joseph Haines on Oct. 3, 1981; he died Jan. 29, 1985.

Survivors include son, Lowell (Pat) Highlen, of Pierceton.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. CDC’s and Indiana’s guidelines will be followed.

Funeral service will be Thursday, July 15 at 11 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel. Interment will take place at the St. Paul Cemetery in Wells County.
