He was a lifetime Pierceton resident and a 1961 graduate of Pierceton High School. Professionally, he was retired from DaLite Screen in Warsaw, where he started in production. He retired as plant superintendent.
On Nov. 14, 1960, he was united in marriage to Karen Sue Winsley. Their union was blessed with three children: Jennifer (Bret) Hopkins, of Pierceton; Mike (Julie) Wine, of Winona Lake; and Chris (Lisa) Wine, of Akron, all whom survive. Also surviving are three grandsons: Dirk (Natalie) Hopkins, of Lansing, Mich., Jonathon Wine, of Winona Lake; and Austin Wine, of Winona Lake; two brothers: Richard (Shirley) Wine, of Warsaw; and Robert (Susie) Wine, of Kansas City, Mo.; and a sister, Gloria (Dave) Welling, of Warsaw.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; and a granddaughter, Samantha Hopkins.
Warsaw’s Titus Funeral Home is assisting the family with simple cremation. No services are planned at this time.
