Kosciusko County Water And Woodlands Partnership Seeking New Members

Kosciusko Water and Woodlands Invasive Partnership (KWWIP) is a cooperative group that includes a broad cross-section of partners including landowners, natural resource managers and local government.
The founding members are Peggy Wihebrink, Chapman Lakes Foundation; Jewel Wise, Clayton’s Garden Center; Andrea Baker, Koinonia Environmental Center; Stan Moore, Kosciusko County Soil & Water Conservation District; Caitlin Yoder, Lilly Center for Lakes & Streams; Erica Luchik and Dugan Julian, Southern Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management; Cecilie Keenan, Smalley Lake Association; and Lyn Crighton, The Watershed Foundation.
Financial sponsors are Cecilie Keenan, Crossroads Bank, Lilly Center For Lakes & Streams, Lyn Crighton, Peggy Wihebrink, Stan Moore and The Watershed Foundation.
Together, the partners create a long term commitment to the organization and focus on creating a comprehensive plan for invasive species managements within Kosciusko County, according to a news release. KWWIP also facilitates cooperation across jurisdictional and land ownership boundaries.
The group is seeking new members, financial partners and volunteers to help get the initiative underway. The membership form can be found on the KWWIP Facebook page by clicking the blue “sign up” button. Financial contributions can be sent to KWWIP, P.O. The next all-member meeting will be held virtually at 6:30 p.m. March 16 for all current or prospective members. KWWIP is also seeking a secretary and members for the terrestrial, aquatic and outreach committees.
