By Amanda Bridgman-
Cody Jacob Felger, 37, of 49 EMS W19 Lane, North Webster, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 3:33 p.m. Wednesday and faces charges for intimidation with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony; pointing a firearm, a Level 6 felony; and intimidation, a Class A misdemeanor.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Jan. 8 in Kosciusko Superior Court III, on Oct. 5 at 4:39 p.m. Warsaw police responded to a local business for an unknown reason.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who said he was picking up somebody from work and saw a vehicle parked in a no-parking area, blocking an available parking space. The victim told police he approached that car and asked the driver to move.
According to court papers, the driver of that vehicle, later identified as Felger, became argumentative and suddenly produced a black handgun. Felger then placed the handgun on the steering wheel, pointing it at the victim and told him to back up, the affidavit states. Felger then sped off and the victim called police.
Officers spoke to other employees at the business and were able to obtain the license plate number of the vehicle from the victim.
When police ran the plates, according to court papers, it returned to an employee at the business.
Police spoke with the woman who said her boyfriend, Felger, had gotten into an argument with someone while he was picking her up from work and she handed Felger the phone.
Felger allegedly told police he was approached by a man who asked him to move but said the gun was on the passenger seat of the vehicle during the altercation.
Felger’s bond was set at $10,250.
