Jerry was born Oct. 6, 1944, in Warsaw, to Bert Edward and Martha Burgers Hyde. He was united in marriage to Edith Ditton Hyde on April 11, 1964, in Warsaw, who passed away on Nov. 24, 2011.
Jerry worked at the Warsaw Foundry, retiring with 46 years of service.
Jerry is survived by daughter, Annette Hyde, of North Webster; sons: Jerry R. (Kim) Hyde Jr., of Syracuse; David Hyde, of Warsaw; and Terry (Early Mae) Hyde, of Warsaw; siblings: Esther Clevenger, of Leesburg; Jo Ellen Senff, of Syracuse; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife, Edith Hyde; sons, Don Ditton and Robert Ditton; siblings, Joann Rowe, Donna Prater and Eddie Hyde.
A private family service will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Interment will also be private at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
