NORTH WEBSTER – Dean A. Anderson, 70, of North Webster, passed away at 7:11 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at Goshen Hospital.

He was born on June 6, 1950, in Winchester, to Robert Charles and Louise Delk Anderson.

He was a lifetime North Webster area resident and graduated in 1969 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse. He was married on Oct. 31, 1980, in Elkhart, to Rozella Ellen “Sandi” Rohn Cripe, who preceded him on Feb. 26, 2020. He retired from Eaton Corporation (formerly Dana) in Columbia City after 29 years and formerly worked at Penn Controls in Goshen.

He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, outside activities especially splitting wood, going to his grandchildren's sporting events, spending time with his family, and eating out with his buddies at the Lakefront in North Webster.

He is survived by son, Ben (Tracey) Anderson, of Syracuse; stepdaughter, Charity Makela, of Wheaton, Ill.; five grandchildren: Nik (Abigail) Anderson, Drew Anderson, Aly (Cole) Kaser, Gavin Makela and Harper Makela; great-grandson, Wade Anderson; sister, Janlyn (Keith) Schumacher, of Fort Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Lenea Anderson; stepson, Heath Cripe; and two brothers: Robert Charles Anderson Jr. and Dave Anderson.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 6–8 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Burial will take place in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
