On Monday, Karen Abercrombie will speak at 11:30 a.m. at New Life Christian Church, 744 S. CR 325E, Warsaw. Doors will open at 11 a.m.

There will be limited seating, and the event will be livestreamed on the Committee to Commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ccmlkwarsaw, as well as at CCMLKWARSAW.com.

Donations to help cover cost of the speaker will be accepted at https://ccmlkwarsaw.eventbrite.com. You can also purchase bracelets from $9 to $18 and include a donation at https://lovewellfundraising.com/collections/live-fundraisers/products/warsaw-ccmlk-event.

Abercrombie is an award-winning actress, singer-songwriter, a Parent’s Choice Award-winning storyteller and an accomplished filmmaker, according to a provided news release. She recently received a Dove Award, and a Movieguide, Grace Award, for her performance in the Kendrick Brothers film "War Room,” where she played the spicy, 80-year-old prayer warrior Miss Clara.
