Friends of North Webster Community Public Library nominated Frank for the award that honors her as “distinguished by her humanity in living, her loyalty in friendship, her wisdom in council and her inspiration in leadership,” according to a news release from the library. Adult Services Director Beth Smith presented the award on behalf of Friends of the Library.
Frank recently retired after serving 31 years as director of North Webster Library. Under her leadership, she brought the library from a small volunteer entity housed in a small room to a tax-supported public library in a new 20,000-square-foot modern facility.
“We are truly grateful for Helen’s leadership and contribution to the North Webster Community,” stated Smith. “This award is the appropriate send off to her retirement.”
