ViaCU Awards Grants To Teachers

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, ViaCU made the decision to provide funding to each teacher that applied for the grant this school year. The grant is to fund developed creative projects for classes. Therefore, Via Credit Union awarded 23 grants totaling over $9,000.  Over the years, ViaCU has funded 116 projects totaling over $47,000 to area teachers.

Two local recipients for the grant were Rebecca Crim, Leesburg Elementary, whose project was titled “Courage to Compose”; and Amy Holton, Washington Elementary, whose project was titled “International Learners Club.”
