Dessiree Michelle Hurst and Brett Allen Smith were married at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 31, 2020, at The Owl's Nest, North Webster, with Matthew Whitney officiating.

Dessiree is the daughter of Michael W. and Michelle L. Hurst, Milford.

Brett is the son of Michael R. and Melanie A. Smith, Pierceton; and Kristen and Josh Walker, Bremen.

Maid of honor was Amanda Straw, Indianapolis.

Matron of honor was Jade Hutson, Fort Wayne.

Bridesmaids were Alexa Glass, Silver Lake; and Jack Carlson, Broomfield, Colo.

Flower girl was Piper Shenefield, Warsaw.

Best man was Isaac Jones, Fort Wayne.

Groomsmen were Brian Farrell, Huntington; Jake Hansen, Columbia City; and Skyler Shenefield, Warsaw.

Ring bearers were Brian Willard, Warsaw; and Kaiden Willard, Warsaw.

The reception was at The Owl's Nest, North Webster.

Dessiree is a quality control tech for Hanson Aggregates, Fort Wayne.

She is a 2013 graduate of Wawasee High School, Syracuse. She is a 2019 graduate of Indiana University-Purdue University, Fort Wayne. She received a  bachelor’s in geology and minor in biology.

Brett is a bench jeweler at Jared the Galleria of Jewelry, Fort Wayne.

He is a 2013 graduate of Wawasee High School, Syracuse.

The wedding trip will be to Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio

The couple reside in Fort Wayne.
