SYRACUSE – Juanita “Jane” Lozano, 89, of Syracuse, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at her home.

She was born on July 19, 1931, in Detroit, Mich., to Maria Briseno Santiago.

She attended high school in Texas and moved to the Syracuse area 60+ years ago from Texas. She was married on Aug. 25, 1949, to Russell Lozano, who preceded her on March 9, 2004. She retired from O.M.C. (formerly Sea Nymph) in Syracuse 35+ years as a crew leader.

She was a member of the Vineyard Church in Syracuse and formerly attended the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel in Syracuse.

She is survived by four daughters: Nora (Willis) Adams, of Silver Lake; Blanca (Dennis Smith), of Syracuse; Debra Kuemmel, of Syracuse; and Belinda Ellison, of Warsaw; son, Noe Lozano, of Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Diane Lozano; son, Russell Lozano Jr.; and two half brothers:  Reyas and Robert Landa.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Kent Butcher officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw. Private family burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery.
