North Webster Community Center Director Resigns

Horn took over the director’s position in January 2020 and successfully managed the Center over the past two years amid a number of pandemic challenges, according to the nonprofit facility’s board.
Horn has been responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Center, supervising maintenance and housekeeping staff, the board reported, and was instrumental in securing grants for HVAC and lighting replacement while directing a successful fundraising campaign under difficult pandemic-related circumstances. She also helped direct special fundraising events including the Shrimp Stag, Purse Bingo and the first-ever online auction in 2021.
“The board appreciates Kelly’s contributions to the Center during her time as director and wishes her only the best,” said NWCC President Dennis Wagoner. “While we will miss Kelly’s leadership, the board will continue to build on the progress the Center has made under her direction.”
The North Webster Community Center is a nonprofit organization supported by donations and grants. Located in the former North Webster Elementary School and high school at 301 N. Main St., the Center offers programming and activities for all ages from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. until noon on Saturdays.
