Boys Basketball

Lakeland Christian at Granger Christian

GRANGER – Lakeland Christian picked up a nonconference win against Granger Christian Thursday night, winning 49-41. The win improves the Cougars record to 4-3 this season.

LCA plays its next game against West Central Saturday afternoon



Girls Basketball

Tippecanoe Valley at Winamac

WINAMAC – Tippecanoe Valley picked up a victory over Winamac Thursday night, winning 43-40. The win improves the Lady Vikings record to 7-5 this winter.

The leading scorer for Valley was Kaydence Mellott, who finished with 17 points. Molly Moriarty had eleven.

Next up for the Lady Vikings is a Three Rivers Conference matchup with Whitko Saturday.

GRANGER – Lakeland Christian defeated Granger Christian 52-36 in nonconference action. The win moves the Cougars record to 6-3 this season.

Next up for LCA is a tournament at Clinton Christian on Tuesday, December 28.

Taylor at Whitko

SOUTH WHITLEY - Whitko wrestling was in action last night against Taylor High School. The wrestlers came away with a win in the dual match and also in the exhibition matches. All six wrestlers won by pin.

Editor, Times-Union: Whatever color the House of Representatives shift to in 2026 and future elections afterwards whether a red Republican majority or a blue Democratic majority or even a purple centrist majority. It should always command a 222 or higher majority (51.0%+ rule) in order to control that body of Congress instead of the current 218- simple majority rule. Any governing party or coalition in this chamber should have a clear solid majority in order to lead instead of a precarious edge.
