The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

• 2:51 p.m. Wednesday - Ricky Albert Duchaine Jr., 43, of 347 N. Jefferson St., Cromwell, arrested for felony probation violation. Bond: $5,250.

• 12:10 a.m. Thursday - Samantha Marie King, 30, Fort Wayne, arrested for possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish, possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle and on a foreign warrant. No bond set.

• 2:33 a.m. Thursday - Jason Anthony Waikel, 42, of 309 S. High St., Warsaw, arrested for felony failure to appear, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle. No bond set.

• 2:32 a.m. Thursday - Tanner Wayne Kotterman, 23, Rochester, arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Bond: $700.

• 5:23 a.m. Thursday - Robert Christopher Piasecki, 49, of 205 W. High St., Syracuse, arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Bond: $700.

• 9:37 p.m. Wednesday - North CR 100E, 100 feet south of East Wellington Drive, Warsaw. SUV hit NIPSCO utility pole. Driver: Rosa L. Rico, 47, East Lantern Road, Warsaw. Damage: $10,000-$25,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated.

• 11:30 p.m. Wednesday - U.S. 30, 500 feet east of North Parker Street, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Dena S. Patel, 48, Kuder Lane, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 6:43 a.m. Thursday - West Crystal Lake Road, 200 feet west of North Brown Lane, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Tammy J. Shively, 55, South Ind. 14, Akron. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. KCSO.

• 2:06 a.m. Thursday - A warrant was served in the 300 block of South High Street, Warsaw. WPD.

• 9:15 a.m. Thursday - A property damage crash was reported in the 700 block of South Main Street, North Webster. North Webster Police Department investigated.

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a Warsaw football practice and speaking with four of the team’s five captains.
