• 3:27 p.m. Tuesday - Donalee Howard, 56, of 403 N. Washington St., Warsaw, arrested for domestic battery - simple assault and battery against a public official. No bond set.

• 5:59 p.m. Tuesday - Natasha Renee Ford, 33, Fort Wayne, arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Bond: $1,400.

• 9:44 p.m. Tuesday - Jennifer M. Miller, 33, of 544 E. Main St., Warsaw, arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Bond: $5,250.

• 5:43 a.m. Wednesday - Nolan Kyle Melchi, 41, of 63 EMS T16 Lane, Leesburg, arrested for assisting a criminal. Bond: $15,250.

• 7:19 a.m. Wednesday - Nicole A. Ludwig, 33, of 63 EMS T16 Lane, Leesburg, arrested for false identity statement, resisting law enforcement, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle, driving while suspended with a prior suspension and on a warrant. No bond set.

• 12:39 p.m. Wednesday - Paul John Westberg Jr., 44, Fort Wayne, arrested for criminal trespass. Bond: $500.

• 12:49 p.m. Wednesday - Austin Taylor Wakeman, 27, of 3104 E. Wooster Road, #65, Pierceton, arrested for domestic battery in the presence of a child less than 16. Bond: $6,000.

• 1:49 p.m. Wednesday - Javier Ivan Gonzalez, 40, of 124 N. Jefferson St., Cromwell, arrested for theft. Bond: $600.

• 2:01 p.m. Wednesday - Alberto Guerrero Hurtado, 50, of 1901 Sandcastle Drive, #C, Warsaw, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Bond: $5,500.

• 11:14 a.m. Tuesday - North Turkey Creek Road, 500 feet south of East Wawasee Lane, Syracuse. Pickup hit telephone pole. Driver: Chandler M. Hyndman, 25, North Ind. 5, Cromwell. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated.

• 3:11 p.m. Tuesday - 3358 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Van was hit by an unknown vehicle, which left the scene. Remaining driver: Maria J. Patino Medina, 34, East Market Street, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 4:13 p.m. Tuesday - 202 E. Main St., Mentone. SUV hit Frontier telephone box. Driver: Taneisha T. Brown, 23, West Broadway Street, Burket. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. Mentone Police Department investigated.

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a Warsaw football practice and speaking with four of the team’s five captains. With so much having been written in recent weeks about their performance on the field, and rightfully so, I wanted to peel back the curtain a bit and ask them some questions about themselves.
