MENTONE – Tippecanoe Valley School Board approved a resolution Monday to investigate the purchase of Mentone property.

During Thursday’s public work session, Superintendent Blaine Conley said the property is north of Mentone Elementary School.

During Monday’s meeting, Conley said Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation was approached by a constituent concerning the possible purchase of about 80 acres of land for future use or development.

The property could be used by the school corporation for the following, but not limited to: resources or construction lots for the Building Trades Program, an extension to the walk path the school corporation installed three years ago or future school building additions.
