Whitko Schools Announces Students Of The Month For April

LARWILL – Whitko Community School Corporation announced its students of the month for April. They are:

Rylee Rose – Whitko Jr./Sr. School - senior high nominee

Rose always brings a great attitude with her to class and always does her personal best. She brings maturity to the classroom, and is a role model for her peers. She is not easily influenced by others and instead chooses the right, rather than the easy or popular, thing, according to a news release from Whitko.

Rose was nominated by teacher Kyle Holz.

Luis Anaya – Whitko Jr./Sr. School – junior high nominee

Anaya is new to Whitko. When he arrived, he struggled with the material, but he has made a strong effort to catch up with his classmates. He has learned our classroom routines quickly and utilized technology to learn the material. He is motivated and has a strong work ethic, stated the news release.

Anaya was nominated by teacher Teresa Knepple.

Alayna Kreps – Whitko Career Academy

Kreps comes to class every day with a positive attitude and is ready to work. She participates in class and is helpful to her classmates, stated the release.

Kreps was nominated by teacher Ashley Roberts.

Colton Wood – South Whitley Elementary School

Wood shows up for related arts like a ray of sunshine, with his shades on his head, ready to learn. Colton is kind, hard-working, helpful and a fast runner, according to the release.

Wood was nominated by specials teachers Sarah Bechtold, Brittany Creech and Taylor Duncan.

Annabelle Wilson – Pierceton Elementary School

Wilson is a sweet first-grade student who tries her best every day. She works hard for all adults and is a good friend to others. She has learned so much in first grade and will definitely be ready for second, stated the release.

Annabelle was nominated by teacher Angela Speicher.
