JORDEN S. HANTHORN, Respondent/Natural Father
IN THE KOSCIUSKO CIRCUIT COURT
CAUSE NO.: 43C01-2104-AD-14
Jorden Hanthorn, who has been named the father of the child born to Kearsten Turner now Kearsten Hucks, on November 16, 2011, or anyone who claims to be the father of the child born to Kearsten Turner now Kearsten Hucks, on November 16, 2011 is notified that a Petition for Adoption for the child was filed on April 9, 2021, in the Office of the Clerk of the Kosciusko County Circuit Court, located at 121 North Lake Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
Jorden Hanthorn or any other individual who seeks to contest the adoption of the child, must file a motion contesting the adoption in accordance with Indiana Code 31-19-10-1 in the above named court not later than thirty (30) days after the date of service of this notice.
If Jorden Hanthorn, or any other individual, does not file a Motion to contest the adoption within thirty (30) days after service of this notice, the above named court will hear and determine the petition for adoption without further notice and consent will be irrevocably implied and he will lose his right to contest either the adoption or the validity of implied consent to the adoption. he will lose his right to establish paternity of the child under Indiana Code 31-14.
Nothing Kearsten Turner now Kearsten Hucks, or anyone else says to Jorden Hanthorn, or any other individual relieves his obligations under this notice.
Under Indiana Law, a putative father is a person who is named as or claims that he may be the father of a child born out of wedlock but who has not yet been legally proven to be the child's father. For purposes of this notice, Jorden Hanthorn is the father under the laws of Indiana regarding adoption.
This notice complies with Indiana Code 31-19-4-5, but does not exhaustively set forth a father's legal obligation under the Indiana Adoption Statutes. A person being served with this notice should consult the Indiana Adoption Statutes.
