Syracuse Ball Fields Bids

INVITATION TO BID

    Notice is hereby given that the Town of Syracuse, Indiana will be receiving sealed bids for the complete construction of a new Ball Park Complex at the Town Hall Conference Room, 310 North Huntington Street, Syracuse, Indiana 46567, at 3:00 p.m. (local time), Tuesday, April 27, 2021.  Opening of the bid to immediately follow.

    Bid documents may be requested April 9, 2021 after 3 pm from John Kimpel and Associates, 902 S 325 E, Warsaw, IN 46582, Chris McCrea, [email protected].  Electronic .pdf files of the bid documents will be available free of charge, a hard copy of the bid documents will also be available to review at the Syracuse Town Hall, 310 North Huntington Street, Syracuse, Indiana 46567 and Syracuse Parks and Recreation Office, 1013 N Long Dr, Syracuse, IN 46567 during regular business hours.

    Each bid proposal shall include all labor, material and services necessary to complete the project in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications as prepared by John Kimpel and Associates, Inc. and on file in the Syracuse Town Hall 310 North Huntington Street, Syracuse, Indiana 46567.

    The project consists of the installation of a new football field – including a concessions / restroom / storage building, (4) baseball / softball fields- including a concessions and restroom building, basketball court, playground, parking lot, and walking path.

    The bids shall be lump sum. The bid opening will be public.

    Bids shall be properly and completely executed in accordance with the Instructions and Supplementary Instructions to Bidders and shall be submitted on the enclosed Bid Form.

    A Prebid Meeting will be held on April 16, 2021 at 10:30 am local time at the Syracuse Town Hall Conference Room located at 310 North Huntington Street, Syracuse, Indiana 46567.

    A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price may be required upon notification of the successful bidder(s) prior to signing of the contract.

    A Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of bid will be required with the bid.

    Bids shall not be modified, withdrawn or canceled, without the Owner’s written consent, for a period of sixty (60) calendar days commencing from the day bids are received.

    All bids shall be itemized and all signatures must include the corporate position of the signer.

    The successful bidder will be required to furnish insurance covering Workmen’s Compensation, Public Liability and Property Damage and any other which may be required before the contract can be signed and issued.

    The Owner reserves the right to waive any and all formalities and informalities or to reject any and all bids. The Owner shall accept bids which, in its judgment, are in its own best interests.
