Wawasee High School Presenting 'Puffs' Fall Play

SYRACUSE – Wawasee High School will be presenting “Puffs” as their fall play. The show is directed by Kristin Bonner and her assistant, Mindy Coblentz. Joining Bonner and Coblentz on the production crew is Chris Dykhuisen as the technical director.

“Puffs,” written by Matt Cox, is the story of “seven increasingly eventful years at a certain school of magic and magic.” Original music is composed by Brian Hoes, according to a news release from Wawasee High School. Avid readers and movie goers might find this story familiar as they watch the basement-dwelling misfits of the school of magic tell this seven-year chronicle from their perspective.

The cast and crew have been working to perfect their performances and delight the audience, stated the release. It is a story of human worth, friendship and bravery from the viewpoint of the most unlikely of heroes.

“Puffs” show times are Oct. 9 and 10 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. in the WHS Auditorium.

Online ticket prices for adults and seniors are $10 and student tickets are $7. Seating is general admission and can be purchased online at  https://wawaseeperformingarts.ludus.com/index.php or at the door if not sold out prior to show night. Seating is limited due to COVID-19 precautions so get your tickets early. Four hundred tickets will be sold for each of the three performances. Masks are required upon entry and family groups in attendance will be seated with social distancing in place.

The “Puffs” cast include Andrik Bautista, Claire Beer, Bronwyn Bonner, Windsor Bonner, Clay Coblentz, Ethan Dennis, Katelyn Dunivan, Colten Edgar, Leina Helfers, Brynn Jamora, Vanessa Lantz, Josh Lesko, Serena Lesko, Gavin Malone, Dylan Minear, Christina Morrow, Alyssa Perkins, Laney Ramirez, Samantha Rose, Sophia Rush, Aidan Stewart and Leo Wrage.
