'It's A Wonderful Life' Coming To Wagon Wheel In December

The Wagon Wheel Theatre is back and will be selling tickets for their winter production of “It’s a Wonderful Life:?A Live Radio Play” beginning at 10 a.m. Friday.

Performances will begin Dec. 4 and run until Dec. 20. The Wagon Wheel invites the public to join them this holiday season for a professional presentation of Joe Landry’s “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.” The play is a heartwarming version of the original holiday classic movie, set in 1946 at the WBFR radio stion, where a cast of five actors are preparing to present “It’s a Wonderful Life” to its live listening audience.

The cast brings to life more than a dozen characters in the story of the idealistic George Bailey as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

The play is enhanced by the case also performing as live Foley artists, providing all the atmosphere and sound effects throughout the broadcast, making it a show within a show. The show will be complete with clever 1940s-style commerical jingles and Christmas carol sing-alongs.
