Warsaw Airport Bids

    Notice is hereby given that the City of Warsaw Board of Aviation Commissioners will receive sealed bids for furnishing all labor and materials for the construction of Hangar 121 Hangar Door until 10:00 A.M. local time on Monday October 12th, 2020 at the Warsaw Municipal Airport at 3000 Airport Road, Warsaw, IN 46582. All bids received by the designated time will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately following the designated time at the Warsaw Municipal Airport at 3000 Airport Road, Warsaw, IN 46582. Any bids received after the designated time will be returned unopened.

    The project consists of providing all delegated design, labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the complete the work shown on the Drawings and described the Specifications including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Hangar Door Modification.

    Complete sets of the Drawings, Specifications, and Bid Forms may be obtained from Mary Kerstein ([email protected]) in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Contract Documents will be provided electronically in PDF format and may be obtained at no cost. Contractors that obtain Contract Documents from a source other than the Issuing Office must notify the Issuing Office in order to be placed on the official Plan Holders List, receive Addenda, and other Bid correspondence. Bids received from Contractors other than those on the official Plan Holders list will not be accepted.

    All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. This is a unit price bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

    The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price.

    Award will be made to the lowest, responsible and responsive bidder. In determining the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, the City of Warsaw Board of Aviation Commissioners will consider the Total Base Bid made for the contract. The City of Warsaw may also consider all other relevant facts mentioned in the Project Documents such as experience and subcontractors.

    The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804).

    Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or Conditional Bids.

    The Owner is exempt from all federal, state, and local taxes, and will not be responsible for any taxes levied on the Bidders as a result of any contract award.
