NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING UPON PETITION

FOR VACATION OF PUBLIC WAY

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Jonathan A. Martin has filed a Petition with the Mentone Town Council seeking the vacation of a public way, which petition has been set for hearing before the Mentone Town Council on the 7th day of October, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.  The hearing will be held at the Town of Mentone Office, Meeting Room, located at 201 West Main Street, Mentone, Indiana 46539.  The public way for which vacation is sought, is situated in Kosciusko County, State of Indiana, and is more particularly described as follows, to-wit:

    A section of a 16.5 foot alley lying north of and adjacent to the following described Parcels: Lots 243 and 244 along with the east 15 feet of Lot 245 in the original Plat of the Town of Mentone recorded in Plat Book 3 page 341 in the Office of the Recorder of Kosciusko County, Indiana.

    and which public way is also identified as an unimproved tract of land lying between two (2) lots owned by Petitioner, commonly known as 102 West Jefferson Street, Mentone, Indiana 46539.

    Any Person desiring to be heard may file objections or comments with the Town of Mentone and any person may appear at said hearing and be heard in support or objections of the Petition filed herein.  The hearing may be continued by the Mentone Town Council with further public notice.

    A copy of the Petition is on file at the Town of Mentone Office located at 201 West Main Street, Mentone, Indiana 46539.
