Gary and Sharon Lewis Creviston, Xenia, Ohio, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday.  

They were married Sept. 19, 1970, at Mentone First Baptist Church,  Mentone.         The Rev. Norman McVey, the Rev. Donald Messenger  and Honorary Pastor Rev. Irwin Olson, GARBC State Representative, officiated.

The couple met at Cedarville University, Cedarville, Ohio, and were college sweethearts.

Mr. Creviston was in education for 37 years and retired as principal of Beavercreek City Schools, Beavercreek, Ohio. Mrs. Creviston was an art teacher, charter member and vice president of the Carnegie Historic Society and Xenia's BRACA for many years.

Mrs. Creviston was born and raised in Mentone.  She is the daughter of the late Raymond and Grace Lewis, Mentone.

The couple have three children: Rachel Rans Creviston (Simon Ibrahimy), Washington, D.C.; Miranda Creviston Motter (Marc Motter), Worthington, Ohio; and  Gennifer L., Eaton (Troy Eaton), Walnut Creek, Ohio. They have four grandchildren: Emily Grace and Samuel Motter, Kara Murphy (Brandon) and Taylor Eaton (Lindsey).

The couple will celebrate  their 50th wedding anniversary with a family Dinner at the Golden Lamb and a family trip later this year.
