So we go on living our lives through this pandemic, as we should. Did you know there was a similar pandemic back in 2009? It was designated as H1N1, better known as the Swine Flu. It was a virus in the same family as our present named COVID-19, only H1N1 attacked the younger demographic below 65 years old.

We don’t know much about this H1N1 because it happened during the Obama-Biden administration. Actually, we don’t know much about anything in that administration as the Main Street media did anything they could to keep any bad news out of the news. We still put up with this journalistic maleficence today. They keep statistics on COVID-19 like it’s some kind of sporting event, but to find out anything of the virus which attacked us during the Obama-Biden, we have to dig deep.

The fact is that as H1N1 spread to over 60.8 million Americans, and before the news got too bad, the government stopped testing and the administration turned its back on the virus and hoped for the best. Wow! ... That’s some response to a pandemic. The media erased the effects of the virus turned into a seasonal virus from their pages and news broadcast, and fortunately the virus turned into a seasonal virus which disappeared with the weather conditions; however, we still contend with H1N1 just like the flu. Unfortunately, they never came up with a viable vaccine for it, they quit trying after it went away.

Today, we are trying to combat COVID-19. Fortunately, we have a president who realizes the importance of this endeavor and has unleashed a “Warp Speed” approach to creating a vaccine to nullify this insidious disease. He has initiated a program unmatched in scale since the Manhattan Project, the making of the atomic bomb, which seems like a better response than turning your back on a problem and hoping for the best.

Almost 6 million Americans have been infected by the COVID-19 virus, of which 92% recovered. There were 60.8 million Americans infected by H1N1, in which most all recovered. There will be other infectious viruses, hopefully not as bad, but when they come, do we have to keep count of the statistics on the news every day about the life-wrenching tally of their destruction?
