Council members present were P.J. Hanley and Ward Byers. Also in attendance was youth representative Hadessah Chupp.
During the new business portion of the agenda, the council approved the 2020 ADA Transition Plan Resolution. According to Bourbon Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger, the plan is helpful when applying for grants and is necessary to receive state and federal funding. Street Department Superintendent Roger Terry was named the ADA coordinator.
Berger went on to say that if patrons have a concern or complaint that the plan contains the way to address them.
The council members voted unanimously to pass ordinance 2020-3 and 2020-4 concerning non-resident hookups to the town’s water and waste water systems. The rules were suspended to allow it to be read on second and third readings.
Berger informed the council that the installation of new water meters was completed near the end of last week with the exception of 2-inch meters at Triton Schools and a few meters that need to be placed within residences. She indicated that the daily readouts for usage show the top 10 users each day and usage can be shown hour by hour.
The monitoring system should be reading some 700 meters; however, it is only showing around 600. She said they will be going through the system to identify the errors.
The council approved waiving fees for the use of the Matchette Center on Tuesday for a Red Cross Blood Drive in coordination with the Triton Schools.
