Richard “Dick” Anderson, age  85, of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

Dick was born on Aug. 21, 1935, in Latrobe, Pa., to Lloyd and Etta Jane Cramer Anderson. He was united in marriage to Barbara Wolford on Feb. 19, 1966. She preceded him in death Jan. 11, 2012.

Dick owned and operated Dick’s Wrecker & Welding in Warsaw. He was a former driver for Warsaw Trucking. His motto was painted on his wreckers, “Be Quick, call Dick,” and yes, he actually raced a Chevy Corvair at the Warsaw Speedway. Dick was a member of New Life Christian Church, Warsaw.

Dick is survived by siblings, Charles (Margaret) Anderson, Mooresville, N.C.; Harvey (Flossie) Anderson, Warsaw; Sam (Margo) Anderson, Warsaw; Dave Anderson, Pierceton; Joyce Edmonds, Ocala, Fla.; Esther (Barry) Sipple, Warsaw; Ruth Elder, Cape Coral, Fla.; stepsons, Ted Williams, Winona Lake; Terry Williams, Leesburg.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel, Lloyd and James; and stepson, Tim Williams.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 at New Life Christian Church, Warsaw, with Pastor John B. Lowe II officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 11 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the funeral service.

All arrangements for the family are entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
