Warriors Earn Split In Conference Girls Golf Match

SYRACUSE – Wawasee earned a split of its Northern Lakes Conference girls golf match Wednesday  at Maxwelton Golf Club. North-Wood was the runaway winner, posting a team score of 155 to the Warriors’ 185 and Plymouth’s 192.

Taylor Cripe and Tate Cowan again paced Wawasee, posting a 41 and a 42, respectively. Ayia Torres came in with a 49, Rylee Firestone was at 53 and Izy Losee checked in with a 57.

NorthWood’s Cybil Stinson was the medalist with a 35. Teammate Breanna Gross was next with a 36, and no one was within five shots of the duo.

Wawasee (9-5, 3-3 NLC) wraps up the conference portion of its schedule today against host Goshen. First tee is set for 5 p.m. at Black Squirrel Golf Club.
