Wawasee Girls Golf Picks Up Two Non-Conference Wins

SYRACUSE – Wawasee had four players break 50 at Maxwelton Golf Club Wednesday in non-conference girls golf wins over Fairfield and Elkhart Monday. The Warriors’ team score of 185 beat Fairfield’s 185 and Elkhart’s 220.

Tate Cowan was the medalist for Wawasee with a 42, followed by Taylor Cripe’s 46. Izy Losee shot a 48, Rylee Firestone a 49 and Ayia Torres a 57. Losee and Torres had career-low scores.

The Warriors (8-4) host Plymouth and NorthWood in Northern Lakes Conference play Wednesday at Maxwelton.

Triton Competes In 4-Way Girls Golf Match

PLYMOUTH – Triton’s girls golf team competed in a 4-way match with Knox, John Glenn and LaVille Monday at Swan Lake Golf Club in Plymouth.

Lilly Hubert had a 65 and Haley Rensberger a 68 for the Trojans.

Only Glenn and Knox fielded full teams, with Glenn getting a 199-270 win. The Falcons’ Megan Kobelt was medalist with a 44.

Triton returns top action Thursday at a 4-way match with host Caston, North Miami and Northfield.
