Manchester Junior-Senior High School announces the collegiate signings of three Squire athletes from the Class of 2021.

Anna Markham will signs with Trine University. Anna plans to participate on the Thunder cross-country and track & field teams.

As one of the leaders of the Squire running squads, she is known for her fantastic work ethic and positive support of her teammates.

Markham plans to compete in the 4 x 8, 800M, 1600M, and potentially even the 4 x 4.

She holds a 3.3 GPA and plans to study Exercise Science and Biology, with a career plan of earning a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.

Elaine "Lainey" Shock plans to sign with Manchester University.

Shock plans to play soccer for the local Spartans next fall. She was a captain and leader of a Lady Squire team that produced back to back TRC championships and was selected to the All-Conference team this season by the TRC coaches.

Shock has a 3.8 GPA and plans to study business.

Thaddeus Baker plans to continue his baseball career at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Baker started to see some significant at-bats down the stretch of his sophomore campaign in 2019. After COVID took out his junior year, Baker continued to elevate his game with travel ball (Indiana Titans) and will look to return as one the top offensive weapons for the Squires in 2021.

Baker has a 2.9 GPA and plans to study Sports Management.

The signing ceremongies will take place at the school’s MJSHS Media Center on November 5th starting at 3:30pm. Individual signings will be separated by 15 minutes for the convenience of their families.
