She was born on June 10, 1938, in Alexandria, Ind., to her late parents, Harry and Dersie Buckles. Claudia worked in the music industry and owned her own music store for over 30 years in Indiana. After she retired and moved to Georgia, Sue joined New Genesis Baptist Church and was a faithful member for many years. Mrs. Loy was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert Loy; and her son, Randall Loy.
Mrs. Loy is survived by her daughter, Lorie Conley and her husband, Terry, in Douglasville, Ga.; brothers: Richard Buckles, of Florida; Harry Buckles, of Indiana; sister, Elaine McDaniel, of Colorado; grandchildren: Lukas Conley, of Douglasville, Ga.; and Adam Conley, of Douglasville, Ga.
Mrs. Loy will have a visitation on Friday, Oct. 30 at Clark Funeral Home from 5 until 7 p.m. A memorial service for Mrs. Loy will be held on Nov. 21 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel, Warsaw, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the memorial service at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, on Nov. 21.
The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the state's COVID-19 restrictions. No more than 50 people are allowed inside the funeral home at one time. If attending the visitation, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Loy safe.
Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, Ga., is in charge of the arrangements.
