As the November 3rd election date approaches, I have been reflecting on the candidates that are currently running for Whitko School Board and all that they stand for. The dilemma that exists is that we have such a strong group of candidates running for open seats this year. I believe they all are running with the best intentions in mind, so you really have to look hard at what these individuals are prioritizing and what they can bring to the table for our students’ futures.

I have known Tracy Howard for the past 12 years. She is a mother of four children, she has volunteered on the PTO, she’s a teacher and she is currently running for a seat on the  Whitko School Board - District 1. Tracy has significantly strong qualities that she can offer if elected for school board.

Like many people in the community, Tracy reached out to me to discuss what my thoughts and concerns were for Whitko and explain to me what she is most passionate about. Quality education is her number one priority, with a focus on investing time and positivity to our community and school system.

Tracy is an innovative thinker and brings diverse insights of successful programs from other school systems, which would prove to be a valuable asset to the board as she helps to plan for the future of Whitko and the new Whitko Career Academy.

I would encourage you to reach out to Tracy if you haven’t had the opportunity to meet her yet or discuss any questions or concerns you may have prior to this important election. Her enthusiasm and passion for Whitko is contagious, and I have utmost confidence that she will bring positive ideas and inspiration to build on the success of Whitko.  Be empowered. Vote for Howard on Nov. 3rd for Whitko School Board - District 1.

Forever proud to be a Wildcat,
