NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NAPPANEE CITY PLAN COMMISSION

    The City of Nappanee Plan Commission will hold a Public Hearing Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Nappanee City Municipal Center, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana. The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment on proposed amendment to Ordinance #1258, Section VII, 8.1.D.11 g:  to provide that no subdivision of land be required in the event the City acquires land to be utilized by the City for a public purpose, including, but not limited to, the use of such land in connection with the operation of the City’s Wastewater and or water Utilities. This Ordinance would apply within the entire corporate boundary of the Civil City of Nappanee, as it may exist from time to time. The Plan Commission will review and accept public comments on the aforementioned proposed ordinance and will make a recommendation to the Common Council of the City of Nappanee.

    A copy of such proposed ordinance is on file in the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee, Indiana, City Municipal Building, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana. Written objections that are filed with the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee before the hearing will be considered.

    Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of the City should contact the Office of the City Clerk-Treasurer, 300 West Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana 46550, (574)773-2112, [email protected] as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
