WCHS?Adds Carpenter As New Boys Golf Coach

Carpenter comes to WCS with 22 years of experience as Head Boys Golf Coach at Triton High School. Coach Carpenter also served as Head Girls Golf Coach for Triton High School from 2008-2018.
He received his Elementary Education and Psychology degrees from Bethel College and has been teaching at Triton Elementary for the past 35 years.
At Bethel, he also played varsity golf and basketball and was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame.
Carpenter began his competitive golf experience at Triton High School where he was also inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame.
Boys golf coaching highlights include a State Tournament finalist twice, a five-time Regional Tournament qualifier, and a Sectional Championship.
Carpenter has an overall coaching record of 255-132 and has won 8 conference titles over his tenure.
Carpenter has traveled across the country to play golf at various clubs and has a bucket list to play as many rounds at the top 100 courses as possible.
“I myself am an avid golfer and I believe that my golf experiences can aid in developing kids into competitive golfers and creating a very competitive team,” Carpenter said.
