County Reports 1 More COVID Death

The death gives Kosciusko County a total of 20 since March.
The KCHD also reported it received a total of 29 new molecular and antigen positive COVID-19 cases from noon Tuesday to noon Thursday. This gives the county a cumulative total of 1,567 positive cases since March, with 300 of them active. There are 1,217 recovered cases and 15 hospitalized cases.
By race, whites make up 72.8% of the positive COVID-19 cases in the county, followed by 23.9% for Hispanics, 1.9% for other and 0.3% for African Americans.
Women make up the majority of the county’s COVID cases at 854, with men making up 713.
Those 19 to 29 years old account for 333 of the cases, followed by 50 to 59 years old with 273 cases; 40-49, 217; 60-69, 215; 30-39, 199; birth to 18, 161; 70-79, 88; and 80 to 99 years old account for 81 cases.
On Thursday, Indiana Gov. Eric J. Holcomb signed an executive order extending the adjusted version of the Stage 5 “Back on Track Indiana” plan and extending the state’s face covering mandate until Nov. 14.
The KCHD also is recommending people not to delay and get their flu shot. The KCHD Immunization Clinic can be visited Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:15 to 4 p.m. Evening clinics are the first Monday of the month from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. except on holidays.
