City Plan Commission Approves Preliminary And Final Plats

October 13, 2020 at 1:46 a.m.

As there were no remonstrators against them, and the Warsaw Building and Planning Department recommended they be approved, the Plan Commission approved the preliminary and final replats for both petitions brought before them Monday.

The first preliminary and final plat was by Chad Metzger to subdivide a 3.59-acre tract of land into two lots, with an average size of 1.79 acres, in Buchan subdivision at 501 Fruitridge Drive.

Senior Planner Justin Taylor said the proposed lots meet all of the development standards for a subdivision within a Residential-1 zoning district. Since the subdivision does not include any additional public infrastructure, he recommended that the Plan Commission grant the preliminary and final replat.

There were no remonstrators against the petition.

The second petition was from applicant John Kimpel & Associates for the Country Club Headlands subdivision. They requested to subdivide a 4.96-acre tract of land into two lots with an average size of 2.49 acres. The proposed lots meet all of the development standards for a subdivision within an R-1 zoning district.

The parcel is at the northeast corner of Country Club Road and Country Club Drive.

Taylor recommended the Plan Commission approve the preliminary and final plat, which the board did.
